What is the Image Measure & Protractor?

This is a browser-based analysis tool that allows you to measure "length ratios" and "angles" on photos or technical drawings. By setting the first line you draw as the reference (100%), it automatically calculates the percentage of other lengths. A movable, transparent protractor is also available to visually verify precise angles.

Key Use Cases

Tips for Accurate Use

To find actual dimensions (cm/inch): Include an object of known size (like a ruler or coin) in the photo. Draw your first line (No.1) across that object. You can then easily calculate the actual size of other items based on the percentage relative to that reference.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. How do I measure lengths?

A. Simply click the starting point on the image and drag to the endpoint. The distance will be displayed in pixels (px) in real-time.

Q. Can I measure in units other than pixels (px)?

A. The tool primarily displays "pixels," the native unit of digital screens. To find real-world measurements like "mm," you would need to calculate based on the image's resolution (DPI). However, px measurement is ideal for web and UI design checks.

Q. Can I measure angles?

A. Yes. The angle relative to the horizontal axis is automatically calculated based on the position of your starting and ending points. This is useful for checking the tilt of objects in an image.

Q. Is my data sent to a server?

A. No. All processing, from loading the image to measuring, happens entirely within your browser. You can safely measure sensitive blueprints or confidential screenshots.

Q. Can I accurately measure large images?

A. Regardless of your browser's zoom level, the tool calculates values based on the original resolution of the image. For fine details, we recommend using the browser's zoom feature to enlarge the view while you work.

Q. Is there a fee?

A. The tool is completely free with no usage limits. No registration is required.
